The right destination depends on whether the person is newly booked, released, sentenced, or held outside the county system:
- For a booking photo or booking record, use the home page records guide, then ask Sheriff Records for the booking sheet and image separately if the online item is gone.
- For a possible county warrant, follow the official in-person and court paths on Most Wanted Fugitives. The sheriff does not provide warrant information by phone.
- For a recent arrest, check the official current roster or the sheriff's 48-hour release view through the home guide.
- For a court outcome, search Indiana MyCase and request the official file from the Washington County Clerk rather than relying on the jail charge line.
- For a person serving an Indiana state sentence, use the Indiana Department of Correction Offender Locator.
- For federal custody, use the applicable official locator: the Bureau of Prisons for sentenced federal prisoners or ICE ODLS for immigration detention.
